INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR THE AWARDS IN SERICULTURE FOR THE YEAR 2025-26

Applications are invited in the prescribed format (attached) for Awards in Sericulture from Indian Nationals for the year 2025-26. Each award carries a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- (Rs. Five thousand only) with a citation and a certificate. Awards are given at the National Conference function, to be held on 30th of June 2026 at KASSIA Auditorium, Bengaluru, Karnataka, organized by Silk Association of India (SAI). Eligibility guidelines are given below and the candidates who fulfills the eligibility shall apply. Candidates can apply for one award with clearly mentioning the category of the award applied for.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be a life member of the S. B. Dandin Foundation for Research and Education (Essential for Best Researcher/Extension staff)
• He /She must have a clean track record
• He /She must not have received an award in the previous five years for the same contribution
• All the claims indicated in the application must have proof/evidence and be endorsed by the next superior officer/ Head of the organization
• If it is a team work, no objection from other team members must be included
• For Best research contribution, there must be enough evidence that the research finding has helped the aimed target group/stakeholders, and it must also be economically viable, easily adaptable and effective
• Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format for the specific award
• Age limit: Below 60 years.
